Update!!...

It's been quite some time since I've blogged, so I thought I'd give y'all an update of the happenings at the Slocum household.... Well... first off our little man has not been sleeping very well.. especially on the nights that John and I go out!! it's been a little annoying to be waken up by a screaming toddler!... although I know what I have to do but I am just too tired to have him "cry it out!!!".. but sooner or later I will have to let him!!! John and I have been slowly doing small renovations in our home.. we just got the hallway painted so we can frame portraits of us and Jake.. wait.. I don't have pics of us or of Jake!!! I am going to order pics from our wedding almost 4 years ago and finally having a professional take pics of Jake and the family.. We are using a local photographer who comes highly recommended through friends!!. and I can't wait!!

http://www.kiernanphotography.com/.. John has been quite busy with work but also with another passion.. GOLF...actually the man is OBSESSED!!! If he could he would play everyday twice a day!! In a week Jake and I will be going to my parent's home in Hilton Head for vacation!!.. I am hoping my little man will cooperate and sleep better down there... but I highly doubt it!! I'm looking forward to some beach time, pool time, dinner out time and maybe some relaxation time.. (My sister, my grandmother, my aunt and my mom will be there so I will have some help!!!) All in all we are all happy and healthy and hope y'all are too!!

Silver Sands!!...

Although we have a week long trip to Higgins Beach over the fourth of July, our summer was wide open!!! I did a little researching for beach clubs or pool memberships around us.. then found this http://nearhome.com/ct/easthaven/silversands/calendar/index.htm.. Its only 20 minutes away from us and has all the amenities I was looking for.. beach, pool, cabanas, tennis, restaurant and loads of activities for young children.. and luckily a group of friends have also decided to join the beach club as well so Jake will have buddies to pal around with!! I am over the moon that we found this place!! now my worries of "its 10 am, 80 degrees and can't decide what to do with an active toddler!!" are put to rest!! I assured John that we will use the club as much as possible.. actually he threatened me that if I am not there everyday I will be in the dog house.. with the cost of this club we could have taken a vacation to Paris!! Thanks Daddy!!!

Jacob's Beach!!!...

We finally bought a camera!! So I was able to take some pictures at Jacob's Beach park!! It was a beautiful day outside today.. 60 degrees and sunny!! John played a round of golf this am and we all ventured to the beach after lunch.. here are some pics of our man thoroughly enjoying himself at the park!!
